Self-Development: The Given Reality
We Human Beings Are Born With The Potential For Curiosity, Which Guides Us To Search & Inquire. We Also Have To Look Upon Our Survival, But We Also Have Relatively More Capability For Reason & Logic Than Any Other Living Beings Found Till Now. We Should Develop Our Conscience & Properly Understand How To Distinguish Between Right & Wrong Decisions. But Unfortunately, Most People Don’t Have Clarity About It. They're Ready To Compromise Anything By Taking Convenient Decisions Rather Than The Right Ones, Knowingly Or Unknowingly, Mainly For Their Survival, Therefore Harming Their Own Lives & Those Of Others Too.
According To Me, Self-Development Is The Given Reality Of Our Lives, As It Helps Us Gain More Clarity About Our Lives & Lead A Truly Meaningful & Purposeful Life. Please Remember That It's Not The Ultimate Reality. It's Yet To Be Found, If There's Any. I’ve Created A Framework For Self-Development That I Refine Whenever Needed. It's Completely Open To Changes, Whether It Be The Addition Or Subtraction Of Any Points, Categories, Or Sub-Categories In It. It’s Strictly Not Open To Interpretation, As It Causes A Lot Of Confusion & Misunderstanding.
(1) Meaning: It is the process by which a person's character and abilities are gradually developed.
(2) Everything We Do Or Are Going To Do Is Inherently Self-Associated:
(A) Decision-Making Process: All our decisions are based on our dominant desire at that moment, which is influenced by our dominant pursuit of pleasure (absence of pain is a subset of presence of pleasure) at that moment, which is beyond our control, as it is shaped by biological and environmental factors.
(B) Our Process Of Doing A Particular Thing: Observe -> Think & Understand -> Purpose -> Decision -> Action.
(C) Our Process Of Feeling About A Particular Thing: Discomfort -> Compassion -> Satisfaction/Dissatisfaction -> Attachment (Conditional).
(3) Self-Realization: It is the process of realizing all the possibilities of our character and abilities. The steps are as follows:
(A) Honesty: Always be truthful with ourselves and always try our best to be truthful with others.
(B) Clear Observation: Always observe things as they are without letting personal biases or prejudices influence our perception.
(C) Proper Thinking & Understanding: Never form an opinion about anything immediately; instead, always think clearly to properly understand what we've observed before arriving at a well-informed conclusion, ensuring accurate comprehension.
(D) Right Values-Based Goals: Always set important long-term goals based on the Right Values and prioritize them. Values are the core beliefs that shape our lives. All the Right Values begin with the phrase “Always Try Our Best To”, and they are as follows:
• Be Honest With Ourselves & Others
• Be Aware Of Whatever We’re Doing
• Properly Understand How We Acquire Knowledge & Shape Our Beliefs
• Seek Clarity In Everything We Do
• Seek Knowledge & Perspectives That Are Actionable
• Be Skeptical Until Properly Justified
• Be Unbiased
• Never Generalize Anything Or Normalize Wrong Things
• Make Right Decisions Over Convenient Decisions
• Do Everything Step-By-Step
• Be Solution-Oriented
• Be Use Case Oriented
• Create Win-Win Situations
• Contribute To The Greater Good
• Eradicate Unnecessary Suffering
• Properly Understand Fundamentals Of Reality
• Properly Understand Good Traits & Bad Traits
• Properly Understand Failure & Success
• Properly Understand Guiding Principles
(E) Accept Limited Knowledge: Recognize that our knowledge is always limited and evolving.
(F) Open-Mindedness: Always be open to new ideas and different perspectives for continual growth.
(4) The Good Person's Test Based On Consumption:
(A) Question: Are we a good person based on consumption?
(B) Core Value: A good person always tries their best to eradicate unnecessary suffering.
(C) Consumption-Suffering Relationship:
• Consumption -> Suffering
• Unnecessary Consumption -> Unnecessary Suffering
• Eradicate Unnecessary Consumption -> Eradicate Unnecessary Suffering
(D) Necessary Actions: A good person will eradicate unnecessary consumption in their own life and promote two things to as many people as possible throughout their lifetime: the eradication of unnecessary consumption in their own life and the promotion of this principle to as many people as possible throughout their lifetime.
(E) Conclusion: If a person does the necessary actions, then they're a good person based on consumption, and if a person isn't doing the necessary actions, then they aren't a good person based on consumption.
